Now that summer time is coming our way in Brazil, it’s time to remind you to always use a strong sunblock to prevent burn, skin damage and skin cancer. Brazil’s sun is more intense than what most people from the northern hemisphere are used to and you can easily burn in just a few minutes of the intense Brazilian Sun. Use an SPF 20 or more, rent a beach umbrella and use a hat. Make sure to hydrate by drinking water or a delicious Mate-Limao (Iced tea and Lemonade) that the beach vendors sell. Also cool off your body by entering the water every so often.
Don’t try to completely tan in one day, do it in spurts, start with 15 minutes front then back. After that, sit under your beach umbrella. The next day, add 5 minutes and so on. If you start to feel a ting or your skin feels hot, then your done for the day. After return to your apartment, take a cool shower and apply aloe vera gel to cool your skin.
You’ll return home with a Bronzed Brazilian tan and everyone one will be jealous!
